Richard Kinchlea joined the Canadian Centre for Emergency Preparedness (CCEP) as Director of Operations in 2010 where he provides emergency management and business continuity support for CCEP’s research and advocacy activities in these areas. He also oversees the content and operation of the Small Business Contingency Planning Program, B-ReadyNow.

Prior to joining the CCEP, Richard spent over 7 years as one of two Emergency Management Coordinators for the City of Hamilton and was Hamilton’s designated Community Emergency Management Coordinator.

Until 2011, Richard had served 8 years as a Director on the Board of the Ontario Association of Emergency Managers, having served as President, Vice President and two terms as Secretary.
