Most important of all is the need for member participation for PTSC-Online to continue to be an effective functioning community. Secondly, financial support is required to host PTSC-Online on the internet and a combination of financial and in kind support is needed to provide services necessary to keep PTSC-Online operating and to take care of administrative duties. Because PTSC-Online operates as a virtual organization, the cost to operate it should be significantly less than operating a traditional organization.

The PTSC-Online sponsorship program provides sponsors with a range of communication and collaboration tools for their own use. It also provides sponsors with increased visibility and links to the sponsor's web site from numerous locations within PTSC-Online.  Properly used these resources will assist sponsors in achieving their strategic communication and advertising goals and provide sponsors with a communication channel to Canadian emergency management, business continuity and critical infrastructure professionals and members of the public with an interest in emergency management.

Sponsors also have access to a private Sponsors Blog to discuss among themselves how best to use PTSC-Online and to provide input to its operation.
