The Canadian Network for Women in Emergency Management (CNWEM) has been established to help women connect and support each other in the emergency management profession.  This forum (www.linkedin.com) is created for women to come together as mentors and coaches to motivate and encourage women to continue learning as well as:

1. To enhance cooperative teams working together towards common goals.
2. To encourage woment to work across jurisdictional/group boundaries.
3. To challenge existing attitudes in emergency management.
4. To encourage women to prepare for new challenges and to deal with issues that affect women in the emergency management profession.

We believe that we are stronger working together, sharing knowledge, information and supporting each other in a dynamic and open forum.
