NFPA's Metropolitan Fire Chiefs released a report on assessing community risks when reviewing potential budget cuts. Although written by the Metro Chiefs section of NFPA it offers valuable guidance and insights for fire chiefs from any size community facing budget cuts. This is a free resource offered from NFPA.
A November 2011 report released by NFPA's Metropolitan Fire Chiefs section highlights the increased risks posed by budget cuts on metropolitan fire departments. The report is presented following the Urban Fire Forum hosted by NFPA each year.
