Project to Advance Crisis and Emergency Communications Practices
This section of our PTSC-Online community provides the highlights on an important project which should be of significant interest to our members and which will add valuable resources to our wiki knowledge base. The project, led by Patrice Cloutier and Barry Radford will provide an opportunity to advance our knowledge of crisis and emergency communications. It will do that by helping us understand current challenges, especially those involving social media, and by sharing current standards and best practises for crisis and emergency communications as provided by Patrice Barry and our PTSC-Online members.
The PTSC-Online events calendar will alert you to upcoming events about the project. A Crisis & Emergency Communications blog channel will provide high level updates as the project progresses. A Crisis and Emergency Communications Practices discussion forum will be used to facilitate discussion on individual topics. New crisis and emergency communications tools and resources will be added to our wiki knowledge base as they are introduced or developed. All tools and resources added to the wiki on emergency and crisis communications may be located by entering #CAEC in the search box which is located at the top right of each page and selecting to search on the wiki. Background information on this project can be found in the PTSC-Online Projects Discussion Forum. Click here for instructions on recommending future projects.
